Wertheimer-Liberty Monuments Celebrates 83 years in Business

SOUTHAMPTON, Pa.--()--Wertheimer-Liberty Monuments of Southampton, PA is excited to be celebrating its 83rd anniversary. The longevity and success of a family-owned business like this one is remarkable in today’s economy. Wertheimer-Liberty Monuments prepares and installs custom-designed monuments from granite and bronze to meet the needs of its clients.

The company was established in early 1928 by Wolf Wertheimer and his sons Morris, Manny and Herman. The company is presently owned and directed by Israel Resnick, who has been with the company since 1974. Many of the employees have been with the family business for more than 35 years.

The history of Wertheimer-Liberty Monuments is fascinating. While they primarily serve the Philadelphia area, they ship monuments anywhere in the US. The first sale ever, on March 20, 1929, was a monument that was shipped to Boston. The company has made upgrades since 1929, including a website (www.wertheimermonuments.com), but the essence of the business has remained the same.

“I am thrilled to be continuing the tradition that Wolf Wertheimer started,” said Resnick, owner of Wertheimer-Liberty Monuments. “It’s an honor to be able to help families make personal and emotional decisions about how to memorialize their loved ones.”

Resnick attributes the 83 years of success to the fact that they uphold the values created by Wertheimer himself. Customer service, quality workmanship, and pricing are the cornerstones of business and always have been. Every employee has a tremendous sense of pride in the organization.

Today, the monument industry offers many colors of granite to select from and a multitude of designs and shapes. The knowledgeable counselors at Wertheimer-Liberty can help direct the family to make a meaningful and appropriate selection.
