Citigroup Announces Appointment of Candida Wolff as Executive Vice President for Global Government Affairs

NEW YORK--()--Citigroup announced today that Candida “Candi” Wolff will join the company as Executive Vice President for Global Government Affairs. In this position, Wolff will oversee international, federal, state and local government relations for Citi and report to Executive Vice President for Public Affairs Edward Skyler. Wolff is currently a Partner in the Legislative and Policy Practice at Hogan Lovells, a law firm with offices in more than 50 cities around the world.

Wolff has more than 20 years of government relations experience in both the private and public sectors. Most notably, from 2005 through 2007, she served in the White House as Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs. As President George W. Bush’s chief lobbyist, she was responsible for pursuing the administration’s agenda in Congress and advised the President and his cabinet on legislative strategy regarding economic, international and national security issues. Wolff also worked in key staff positions in the U.S. Senate for eight years, including as Deputy Staff Director to the Senate Republican Policy Committee, counsel to the Senate Steering Committee and counsel to Senator Malcolm Wallop.

In addition to Hogan Lovells, Wolff’s private sector experience includes work as an Associate in the Public Policy and Law section of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld and as a Partner at Washington Council Ernst & Young where she focused on telecommunications, pension and energy issues. Wolff is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and George Washington University School of Law. She lives in Virginia with her husband and two daughters.
