LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Boyden, a global leader in executive search, today announced that Betty Thayer has joined the Board of the firm’s UK office as a Non-Executive Director. Mrs. Thayer is well known in the international search and selection community as a top expert on the non-executive position and transition coaching of senior executives.

Mrs. Thayer founded and served as Deputy Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Exec-Appointments LTD (www.exec-appointments.com), the leading executive jobs site, and non-execs.com, a flagship site for non-executive directors. Both businesses were acquired by the Financial Times in 2007. Prior to this, she spent 20 years in management consulting, most recently as a partner at Ernst & Young in London.
Mrs. Thayer’s other roles include visiting lecturer on the non-executive director programme at the Cranfield School of Management; a member of the Advisory Board of the University of Bath School of Management; a Director of Across the Board, a consultancy specialising in Board assessment. She also serves on the UK Council of the American Museum in Britain and as a Trustee of the Bath Mozartfest.
A dual UK and US citizen, Mrs. Thayer holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University. She frequently writes about the role of the non-executive and provides transition coaching to a wide variety of senior executives.
