WILMINGTON, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--This Friday, April 1, marks the opening of the inaugural $400,000 Delaware Park Poker Classic, running through April 17, at the Casino at Delaware Park.
The Classic consists of twenty six preliminary tournaments, leading up to a two-day main event on April 16. Each winner of the individual tournaments will receive a championship trophy (with the exception of the Super Satellites and $25,000 Freeroll) and the winner of the final event will be awarded a specially-designed championship bracelet and a share of a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000.
The final event prize pool is the largest in the Delaware Park Poker Classic, which features 16 guaranteed prize pools totaling $400,000.
In addition to the scheduled buy-in tournaments, Delaware Park will continue to offer twenty-four hour single table satellites. There will also be second chance No Limit Hold’em tournaments running nightly: $100 Buy-in at 7 p.m. and $85 Bounty ($20 per Bounty) at 11 p.m.
