Citi ThankYou Rewards Gives Members New Ways to Enjoy Their Points

New Points Transfer Program Lets Members Share Points with Friends and Family

NEW YORK--()--Citi ThankYou Rewards, one of the world's largest loyalty programs, has introduced several features to help its members maximize their ability to earn and redeem ThankYou Points for rewards, including merchandise from Best Buy and Buy.com. The enhancements were created in direct response to consumer research and also include a new Travel Center, an expanded Bonus Center, and a Points Transfer program that enables members to give their points to other members.

“Our priority is to focus on benefits and rewards that are compelling to our members and enhance the overall ThankYou experience,” said Terry O’Neil, Executive Vice President, North American Cards, Citi. “Direct feedback from our members played a key role in shaping these latest enhancements. We look forward to continuing the partnership with our members in order to build upon the many exciting opportunities to enjoy earning and redeeming ThankYou Points.”

Details on the new features available to ThankYou Members:

Citi ThankYou Travel Center: Members can now use their Citi credit card in combination with ThankYou Points to get travel rewards. If a member doesn’t have enough points for a flight, hotel reservation or vacation package, a Citi credit card can be used to pay the difference. At the Travel Center, there are no blackout dates for flights, hotels, cars and vacation packages.

Citi ThankYou Bonus Center: The Bonus Center, where members can earn an average of four extra ThankYou Points per dollar spent, has been expanded to include more than 600 merchants, a 50 percent increase from last year. Extra points can be earned on a vast range of popular items, from electronics to apparel, home and sporting goods and more.

Best Buy and Buy.com: ThankYou Points can now be used to get the latest electronics and a tremendous range of other products fulfilled though Best Buy and Buy.com. Members have easy access to these products by browsing the rewards collection at ThankYou.com, where all merchandise, gift cards and travel reward options are displayed.

ThankYou Points Transfer: In response to consumer feedback, Citi ThankYou Rewards has introduced the ability for members to transfer their ThankYou Points to other members. This feature makes it possible for members to quickly and easily give points as gifts and to help friends and relatives who are ThankYou Members to get the rewards they want faster.
