DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--eWise today announced the entry of Secure Vault Payments to the nonprofit market at the 48th Annual Association for Fundraising Professionals International Conference. FamilySearch International has signed a pilot agreement with U.S. Bank to evaluate Secure Vault Payments (SVP) as a secure and convenient online payment option for FamilySearch.org patrons to make online donations.
Secure Vault Payments is a safe, secure and private online payment network developed by NACHA — The Electronic Payments Association® and eWise, a provider of online payment & personal financial management solutions.
“FamilySearch is enthusiastic about the integration of the Secure Vault Payments pilot project into its online donation process,” said Ransom Love, senior vice president of strategic relations for FamilySearch. “Secure Vault Payments could provide a step into the future of e-donations for FamilySearch because it significantly lowers any costs or risks associated with financial e-transactions. Our e-donation customers will appreciate not having to disclose their bank account information online when making a charitable contribution — a benefit provided through SVP’s technology.”
The only payment method designed specifically for the unique security and convenience requirements of online payments and e-commerce, Secure Vault Payments allows donors to make online donations through their financial institution’s online banking site without enrolling, registering or sharing any account information with the nonprofit organization. The financial institution authenticates the donor and provides the nonprofit with real-time authorization and confirmation of ACH transactions, typically at lower processing fees.
“Secure Vault Payments is a natural fit for the nonprofit market,” said Richard Brierley-Jones, Executive Vice President of eWise. “Nonprofit organizations consistently face restrictive budgets with growing program needs. Secure Vault Payments helps them to reduce costs while offering a superior payment option.”
Nonprofit organizations interested in joining the Secure Vault Payments network should contact Dean Seifert, Senior Vice President, eWise, at svp@ewise.com.
