TUCSON, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--David G. Hutchens has been named Executive Vice President of UniSource Energy Corporation (NYSE: UNS) and subsidiaries Tucson Electric Power (TEP) and UniSource Energy Services (UES), making him the company’s second highest ranking executive.
Hutchens, 44, launched a significant expansion of the company’s renewable energy and conservation programs in his previous post as Vice President of Energy Efficiency and Resource Planning.

Hutchens served five years in the U.S. Navy and worked as an engineer before joining TEP as an energy analyst in July 1995. He later held management positions overseeing wholesale energy sales and, in January 2007, was named Vice President of Wholesale Energy and UNS Gas – an operating subsidiary of UES. He became vice president of Energy Efficiency and Resource Planning in May 2009.
