APPLE’S IPHONE SALES FIGURES ENERGIZE GSLO’S OUTLOOK FOR THE VOLT

Tremendous Market Developing for iPhone Accessories like the Volt Solar Charger

Apple’s (NASDAQ: AAPL) impressive sales figures and projections for the iPhone have energized GoSolarUSA’s (PinkSheets: GSLO) plans for the Volt Solar Charger, the company’s new solar-powered battery pack.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs claimed earlier this month that the world’s largest tech company has now sold more than 100 million iPhone handsets worldwide. Apple enjoyed an outstanding FY 2011 First Quarter, with iPhone sales, services and accessories accounting for $10.468 billion—an 88-percent increase. Scott Moritz of The Street wrote last month that Apple sold more than a million units of its new Verizon (NYSE: VZ) iPhone since the device went on sale February 10. By contrast, he wrote, AT&T sold 1.7 million iPhone 4s during its debut last year.

“There’s no question that the iPhone has completely revolutionized the smartphone market,” said GSLO President and CEO Tyson Rohde. “Now that Verizon is offering the device to its subscribers, we expect the number of North Americans owning iPhones to climb to new heights. We think it’s the perfect time to be bringing an incredible new iPhone accessory like the Volt Solar Charger to U.S. retailers.”

The Volt is an external battery pack that attaches to the iPhone and extends its battery life using a 1500 mAh battery and a top-of-the-line, built-in solar panel. It is the only accessory known to the Company capable of powering the iPhone 3, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 all with the save device. GSLO initiated mass production of the Volt in China last month in anticipation of the solar gadget’s North American debut.

“Final preparations for our North American launch are underway,” Rohde said. “The Volt should go on sale soon at top retailers bundled with a one-year warranty. Initially, the Volt Solar Charger will be available in both black and white, and we plan to offer more colors soon.”

GSLO is the exclusive distributor of the Volt in North America, but is also entitled to a percentage of Volt developer Xiamen Solar Electronics’ future worldwide net profits thanks to a profit participation agreement signed earlier this year. Rohde said Friday that Apple’s sales prospects in emerging markets overseas could shift the iPhone accessories market into hyperdrive.

“I think a lot of investors may be overlooking Apple’s iPhone growth prospects in India, China and elsewhere,” Rohde said. “The smartphone market is poised to explode in developing markets, and Apple is sure to sell millions of handsets as these populous nations catch up to the smartphone technology enjoyed here in the U.S.

“There are going to be a lot of people around the world looking for a device like the Volt that can charge their iPhones anywhere the sun is shining,” he said.

GoSolarUSA is dedicated to aggressively acquiring, developing and marketing promising and potentially profitable technology. The Volt Solar Charger is a product of Xiamen Solar Electronics based in Xiamen, China. The iPhone is a product of Apple Inc., which competes in the global smartphone market against Motorola Mobility Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:MMI) and Research in Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM).
