California Hotel & Lodging Association Education Foundation Co-Sponsors San Diego High School Hospitality Conference

SAN DIEGO--()--Over 300 hospitality students from the San Diego Unified School District gathered at the USS Midway on March 11 to attend the 13th Annual High School Hospitality Conference. The California Hotel & Lodging Association Education Foundation along with the San Diego Chapter of the California Restaurant Association co-sponsored this event.

The conference, put on by San Diego State University’s L. Robert Payne School of Hospitality & Tourism Management in conjunction with the Conrad N. Hilton Volunteer and Mentorship Center is intended to give high school students interested in working in the hospitality industry, an opportunity to meet with various members of the industry, and tour several hotel facilities.

Representing CH&LA at the conference were several CH&LA members, including Pam Richardson, 2011 Chair of CH&LA’s Board of Directors, Peter Fuller, a member of the CH&LA Education Foundation, and Ann Callahan, a member of the California Association of Bed & Breakfast Inns Council, as well as CH&LA’s Education Director, Susan Ragatz.
