Foundation’s Legal Advisor & Senior Official Discuss Lawsuit Against Cable Networks for News Broadcast Implicating Spiritual Guru in a Sex Scandal

MONTCLAIR, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A senior official from Life Bliss Foundation and its legal advisor will be holding a press conference to address the defamation suit brought by Paramahamsa Nithyananda, a popular spiritual guru, and co-plaintiff Life Bliss Foundation against Sun TV et al. for broadcasting a video purportedly showing Nithyananda in a sex scandal at his ashram in Karnataka, India. Sun TV is India’s largest cable network, and is carried by Dish Network in the U.S.

WHAT:	The press conference will address the defamation suit, filed in the Superior Court of California, County of Riverside, which claims that Sun TV et al., in March 2010, broadcast a morphed and manipulated video, which falsely portrayed Paramahamsa Nithyananda with a female devotee. Shortly after the video aired, Nithyananda was arrested and imprisoned for 53 days in a Karnataka, India jail.
