Quadriga Art Supports “Green Mail” Program for Nonprofit Fundraising Campaigns

NEW YORK--()--Quadriga Art, the nation’s leader in nonprofit mail and strategic fundraising services, is embracing the Direct Marketing Association’s (DMA) Green 15 Pledge Program as an industry guide for how organizations can derive additional value from the greening of their mailing activities across a number of strategic areas in the mail marketing channel. The company believes that integrating sustainable principles across its organization makes sense for the firm’s financials, for the planet and to ensure the company meets the growing environmental sensitivities of our nonprofit clients worldwide.

“There is a natural compatibility between sustainable environmental principles and the fundraising success of Quadriga Art’s nonprofit direct mail campaigns,” says Adam Freedgood, Director of Business Development at Quadriga Art. “When we design mail campaigns for our fundraising clients, we first apply data-driven analytic tools to ensure we’re targeting only the most responsive audiences for a given campaign. On the manufacturing side, we are engineering new ways to reduce waste and to offer our clients responsibly sourced paper products with the help of the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) program.”

Freedgood notes the Green 15 program suggests the biggest environmental opportunities for mailers today are in responsible paper sourcing and applying best practices to the data that drives mail campaigns. Many of Quadriga Art’s nonprofit clients have a growing interest in discovering how to implement sustainable production practices that can help reduce costs, drive better performance and take into account environmental mitigation as a central focus.

“This year Quadriga produced a redesigned donor acquisition mailing package for a global wildlife organization in response to the client’s call for a high performance campaign that also met the organization’s stringent environmental guidelines,” says Freedgood. “The package we manufactured in concert with the client’s fundraising agency used FSC Certified paper and a branded promotional premium made from bamboo, a renewable material we developed rather than metal or plastic.”
