LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--River Road Asset Management, LLC has expanded its business development team, hiring Katrina Howard O’Leary as Vice President of Client Services. Ms. O’Leary will be responsible for managing relationships with institutional investment consultants and plan sponsors.
“Katrina brings more than 11 years of industry experience to her role,” said River Road President Andrew Beck. “She is a bright and dynamic individual who reflects both the personality of River Road and our commitment to provide industry-leading support to our clients.”
Prior to joining River Road, Ms. O’Leary served as Director of Business Development and Client Service at Cincinnati-based Opus Capital Management. In addition, she held positions at New York Life Investment Management. Ms. O’Leary graduated cum laude from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Finance and Marketing. Additionally, she holds Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses.
Ms. O’Leary is the fifth new associate to join River Road in 2011. The firm has grown from 26 to 34 employees in the past 12 months. Mr. Beck said the new hires will provide increased depth to the firm’s research and client servicing efforts. These hires are the result of extensive searches the company conducted during the last 15 months.
The additional resources were fortuitous given the sharp increase in global demand for the firm’s Dividend All-Cap Value and new Independent Value investment strategies. “We are fortunate that we had the capability to invest in our firm throughout the recession,” said Mr. Beck. “It not only allowed us to attract great talent, but has better positioned the firm to take advantage of the increase in global demand for high-quality U.S. equities.”
