LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MF Global Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: MF), a broker-dealer providing trading and hedging solutions, today announced that Richard Moore has been appointed as regional CEO and managing director of Europe.
Mr. Moore will assume the role with effect from 1 April, 2011 and will be responsible for developing the firm’s pan-European growth strategy as well as for overall business activities in the region. Mr. Moore will be a member of the global management committee and European Board of Directors.
Mr. Moore has spent 25 years in the financial services industry, building his career with international roles across the foreign exchange and fixed income divisions at Citigroup from 1986 to 2008. In his most recent role at Citigroup he served as head of Fixed Income, Europe Middle East and Africa with responsibility for 1,800 banking professionals in sales and trading, marketing, developing and distributing a full range of fixed income products and services.

Mr. Moore will succeed Charles Pendred, who has been serving as interim managing director of Europe since October 2010. Upon Mr. Moore’s appointment, which is subject to Financial Services Authority approval, Mr. Pendred will resume his duties as an independent director and non-executive chairman of the firm’s European Board of Directors.
