HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Engineering design and consulting firm Mazzetti Nash Lipsey Burch (M+NLB) announces the addition of Jonas McBride, PE as Principal of engineering services in the Houston office. M+NLB’s Houston office also specializes in equipment planning services.
McBride joins M+NLB from Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. where he served as Vice President and Healthcare Team Leader in the Houston office. He brings over 15 years of experience in business development, project management, electrical engineering, and building infrastructure design. As M+NLB’s newest Principal of engineering services, McBride will provide management and professional development for the firm’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology (MEPT) engineering presence in Texas. He will also be responsible for diversifying and building M+NLB’s mission critical portfolio.

McBride is a professional engineer and affiliated with the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America and the National Fire Protection Association. He served on the Kansas State University’s Architectural Engineering Advisory Council Chair, as a Resident Industry Expert, and guest lecturer. He is also an emeritus member of the Architectural Engineering Advisory Council at the University of Nebraska, Omaha.
McBride has participated in the design and construction of approximately $2 billion in construction projects to date. Noteworthy projects include: a 5,000-square-foot, Tier III collocation space for Equant Inc.; a 7,100-square-foot, Tier IV collocation data center for NSPOF Communications Inc.’s Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC), and a recent evaluation of the power distribution system for the University of Houston data center.
