Dongbu HiTek Sets Sights on Burgeoning Chinese Market Demand for Analog and Mixed-Signal ICs

Korean Specialty Foundry exhibits best-in-class Analog and BCDMOS process technologies for power management and display applications at major IIC-China exposition

IIC China

SEOUL, South Korea--()--Dongbu HiTek confirmed it has joined other top semiconductor companies here to participate in the International IC China Conference & Exhibition (IIC China, http://www.english.IIC-China.com). At the three-day event now taking place at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center, Dongbu HiTek is showcasing its Analog and BCDMOS process technologies at Booth # 2S38. Moreover, Jae Song, the Korean foundry’s EVP of sales & marketing is scheduled to give a keynote address titled, “The relationship between analog & digital and its effect in the Asian market.”

According to Dr. Song, “Electronic products are becoming increasingly compact and evermore sophisticated with features, thanks to specialized Analog and Mixed-Signal technologies that are driving higher levels of integration. Companies that can integrate analog and digital technologies to address demanding applications such as power management and display control, will find growth markets for their products – especially in China.”

Gartner forecasts the Chinese semiconductor market will expand by at least 7 percent annually on average, exceeding $127 billion in 2014, and thereby commanding about one-third of the worldwide market. Looking at just the Analog semiconductor subset, Gartner predicts China dominance here as well in 2014 with sales totaling nearly $16 billion, representing more than 60 percent of the worldwide Analog semiconductor market.

Serving Chinese Customers from Shanghai/Shenzhen Offices

Dr. Song noted that Dongbu HiTek is setting its sights on the burgeoning Chinese semiconductor market by establishing customer service/sales operations in Shanghai and Shenzhen. “We aim to have more than 20 percent of our annual sales coming from China by the end of next year, and we expect to achieve this goal by continuing to strengthen our specialty foundry position.” He further noted that Dongbu HiTek will be highlighting its industry-leading BCDMOS processing technology at the 0.18-micron node during the IIC-China exposition.

IIC-China Exhibit Highlights

IIC-China exposition management confirmed that about 170 companies from ten countries are currently exhibiting their products and technologies at the three-day exposition beginning today. Attendees who visit Dongbu HiTek Booth # 2S38 can expect to interact with company executives and gain valuable insights into the company’s specialized array of Analog CMOS and BCDMOS process technologies, including those used to implement LED driver IC and Power Management devices as well as CMOS Image Sensor and Touch Screen Controller modules.
