ASHEVILLE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Silver Bluff Village, a skilled nursing facility located in Canton, NC, has cut their hot water costs 10% by installing a solar energy system from SolTherm of Asheville, NC. Compared to their previous energy source, the 195-resident facility is expected to save more than $174,000 over the life of the system.
“Frankly, SolTherm made it a no-brainer for us to use a solar hot water system,” says Bob Leatherwood, who owns Silver Bluff with his wife Lisa. “They made the total initial financial investment and provided us a financial guarantee on the performance of the system through their NoCapEx™ program.”
SolTherm’s NoCapEx™ solution is an industry-leading clean energy program that provides immediate hot water savings and long-term cost predictability with no capital investment. SolTherm is responsible for all operations and maintenance of the system.
“Silver Bluff Village’s high, volatile energy costs made them an ideal candidate for our program,” said SolTherm Chief Strategy Officer Scott Clark. “Now they have a renewable energy source they can feel good about, without worrying about the initial cost.”
Installation of the 32-panel system was completed October 12.
