UCLA Anderson Forecast economists will present their latest quarterly economic projections for the Nation and State. Additionally, the March 2011 conference will focus on manufacturing and its role in the California economy.

 
Topics to be discussed include:

-- Is today's unemployment structural? And when will California's unemployment rate come down?
-- Will California's austerity budget choke the recovery?
-- Is Texas stealing California jobs?
-- What kind of manufacturing jobs have been lost?
-- How does California compare with other states in attracting manufacturing?
-- What needs to be done to bring manufacturing jobs back to California?
If not manufacturing, where can high school graduates find jobs?
