PORTLAND, Ore.--()--iovation, the device reputation authority protecting online companies from fraud and abuse, today announced that Max Anhoury, vice president, will present online gaming fraud prevention strategies at the Caribbean Gaming Conference and Show, held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The Caribbean Gaming Conference will be held at the Sans Souci Ports Convention Center on the 3rd and 4th of March. Hosting more than 1,000 sportsbooks and over 60 international casinos from Santo Domingo, Santiago, La Romana, Samana, Duarte, Puerto Plata, among others in the Caribbean Region, the conference is focused on gaming operators looking to expand and develop new avenues in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Mr. Anhoury will present during the online gaming feature on Thursday, March 3rd along with panelists from BMM Compliance and IGT. Anhoury will examine strategies for identifying high-risk transactions in order to prevent financial fraud, money laundering, fraudulent deposits, player collusion, bonus abuse and account takeover. Just last year more than 60 online betting, poker, sportsbook, bingo and casino clients reported and shared 350,000 fraud attempts through iovation’s ReputationManager 360 device reputation service.

iovation has a unique view of devices such as computers, tablets and mobile phones, that are used by online criminals to commit crimes and this unique perspective helps iovation’s clients identify and prevent fraud. What might typically look like one transaction to a single gaming site is often a coordinated attack across multiple sites. When a group of devices hits multiple sites, even across multiple industries, iovation can detect these attacks through velocity triggers and shared experiences across their customer base to alert the affected businesses and thwart the attacks.

Within iovation’s knowledge base of more than 500 million unique devices from every country in the world, a large majority of those devices have been used on gaming sites. For a recent gaming customer integration that does not accept any U.S. traffic, 45% of the new accounts created were from devices that iovation had seen before. 50% of those devices had over 6 months experience with iovation and 32% had a year or more. On average, iovation has experience with 50% of new traffic to any online site.

About the Presenter

Max Anhoury brings over 20 years of sales, marketing, and operational experience to iovation where, as vice president, he is responsible for helping online businesses reduce fraud losses, gain operational efficiencies and maximize consumer confidence. Max has worked closely with many of the world’s largest online gaming sites and their fraud teams to identify cyber criminals the moment they connect to their sites.
