AUSTIN, Texas & ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Motion Computing®, a leading global provider of tablet PCs and supporting mobility solutions, announced today from the 2011 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Annual Conference & Exhibition, that the Motion® C5v Mobile Clinical Assistant (MCA) is now available with the Intel® Core™ i3 processor. This new option makes a lower entry price point available for healthcare organizations that require the durability, integrated features and ergonomic design of the C5v, but do not need the advanced systems management capabilities of the Intel i5 or i7 vPro™ processors.
The C5v is also now available with a 30GB solid state drive (SSD), further lowering the starting price of the MCA while providing the reliability of an SSD. With these new additions, Motion can offer customers the most robust price, performance and feature options on an MCA to support a variety of different healthcare environments, users and workflows.
“Motion is dedicated to offering customers the solutions that will best fit their environments,” said Mike Stinson, Vice President of Marketing, Motion. “From lightweight and highly mobile to performance-driven and fully equipped, Motion offers the broadest variety of tablet PC options available today.”
Healthcare providers who have already standardized on the C5v platform can leverage their investment while taking advantage of the new lower entry price point for appropriate applications. The C5v with the i3 processor is compatible with all of the peripherals designed for the C5-Series line of MCAs. From power adapters to docking solutions and carrying cases, the new C5v option fits seamlessly into existing healthcare workflows. This gives healthcare IT providers more options in order to match the performance and cost of the tablet with the requirements of their workflow.
Designed for Healthcare
The C5v is used across healthcare
organizations worldwide and has proven to enhance clinician
satisfaction, improve productivity and documentation accuracy and speed
up patient data availability for improved care team collaboration. Drop
tested and fully sealed, the C5v is designed specifically for often
harsh, highly mobile healthcare environments and includes robust
integrated features, a handle for maximum portability and navigation
options that simplify usability.
Pricing and Availability
The C5v is now available with the
i3 processor and 30GB SSD with a starting price of $1899 in the U.S. All
Motion Tablet PCs are available through an international network of
value-added resellers and distributions. For more information contact
your local reseller or visit your local Motion website.
