CPS Human Resource Services Begins Two Key Executive Level Recruitments for the Sacramento Region

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--()--Executive recruiters from CPS Human Resource Services (CPS) began a nationwide search this month for the next city manager of Sacramento. In addition, they will be looking for an executive director for the newly created agency, Sacramento Steps Forward.

Stuart Satow, CPS senior executive recruiter, anticipates an appointment to the city manager position by mid-June. “Each of our searches is done with a high level of professionalism and client collaboration,” said Satow. “We look forward to working with the Mayor and City Council in identifying the highest-caliber candidates for this important leadership position for the City. As a life-long resident of Sacramento, I appreciate the opportunity to assist the City’s elected leaders in this search.”

Two years ago, Sacramento community leaders came together under the Sacramento Steps Forward initiative to explore local homelessness issues. This year the leaders plan on creating an independent organization with governance from a board of public and private sector members. CPS senior executive recruiter, Pamela Derby, expects the executive director position will be filled by mid-June.

“This is a unique and challenging opportunity for the right individual,” said Derby. “The community benefits and personal rewards could be quite rich.”
