Andesa Services’ Business Continuity Capabilities Mitigate Operational Risk

Extensive testing proves that Andesa maintains seamless access to mission-critical business functions and vital data when the unexpected occurs

ALLENTOWN, Pa.--()--Andesa Services, Inc. announces that it has successfully completed its sixth business continuity test with SunGard Availability Services utilizing SunGard’s Workforce Continuity Services. SunGard’s Workforce Continuity Services provide Andesa with alternate office workspace, including workstations, telecommunication capabilities, and office resources to recover Andesa’s client operations business processes in the event of an office outage.

Twenty months after announcing its expanded relationship with SunGard for Workforce Continuity Services, Andesa has successfully tested servicing one hundred percent (100%) of its client base at a SunGard facility. Additionally, eighty seven (87%) percent of Andesa’s client service personnel have actively participated in off-site office recovery exercises.

“Within four hours of declaring a ‘disaster’, we had restored our client operations group at SunGard’s Philadelphia site, transparently to our clients,” states Brad Carvellas, ISO at Andesa. “These are impressive metrics.”

Andesa’s most recent test involved global health service giant CIGNA's corporate-owned life insurance business: “We experienced no business interruption,” commented Lauren Willerton of CIGNA Corporate Insurance. “Other than Andesa communicating to us that they were supporting our business from the SunGard Availability Services site, it was just another business day.”
