Packard contracted with Darrin to build the Packard Darrin and the 1941 Packard Clipper. He established Darrin Motor Car in 1946, and designed the Kaiser and Frazer cars for several years. In 1952 Kaiser engaged him to develop a fiber-glass, two-seater sports car, the Kaiser Darrin, with retractable doors that slid into the front fenders, a unique pointed grille and long sloping lines.

The Shelby Cobra, aka the AC Cobra, is an Anglo-American sports car produced during the 1960s.

A Woodie is a car body style, especially a station wagon, where the rear bodywork is constructed of wood framework with infill panels of wood or painted metal.
