NEW DELHI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--InfoComm India 2011 RoadShow – Jupiter Systems, the leading worldwide supplier of display wall processors for command and control applications, announces the availability of its new Fusion Catalyst™ products in India. The company recently announced delivery of the revolutionary system to installations in the U.S., Western Europe, and Russia.
“India is an important market for Jupiter Systems, said Brady O. Bruce, Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Alliances at Jupiter Systems, “and one of the fastest growing. Its strong information sector and vibrant technology base coupled with strong internal demand in telecommunications, intelligent traffic management, security, law enforcement and public utility infrastructure, make it a highly attractive marketplace. We are currently looking to forge strategic partnerships with qualified systems integrators here.”
“Jupiter’s high performance display wall processors provide the highest quality and reliability in the market today. Our solutions enable organizations to monitor what happens at locations near and far, providing the common operating picture so important to real-time decision making. To develop situational awareness, you need to be able to see everything available—video, data, images, maps, and more—and that’s what Jupiter delivers,” said Bruce.
Bruce will be among the presenters on the 3 day road show and discuss “The Best and Biggest: A Global Tour of Video Walls in Key Applications.”
High Performance, Seamless Transition
Fusion Catalyst processors deliver superior performance with up to 192 Gbps of internal bandwidth that can carry a vast number and variety of video signals, and drive ultra-high resolution displays. It offers an extraordinary range of flexibility and can handle up to 376 analog or streaming SD video inputs, up to 94 DVI/VGA or HD component video inputs, and up to 96 graphic outputs, all controlled by a powerful drag-and-drop user interface. This immense configuration space is unique in the industry. Moreover, Fusion Catalyst is the only processor to handle dual-link DVI (up to 2560x1600 resolution) on both input and output. In addition, Fusion Catalyst offers the reliable 24/7 system availability and hot swappable components that Jupiter pioneered and its customers have come to expect.
Fusion Catalyst sets a new industry standard with an extremely broad configuration space, high performance and stunning video quality, yet it does so at a new, lower price point. It runs the same powerful, feature-rich ControlPoint software, which means drop-in compatibility and no new training requirements. As a result, customers with existing Fusion installations can upgrade easily to all the benefits of Fusion Catalyst.
It’s a PC, Too
Applications can be run directly on the Fusion Catalyst processor for display locally on the display wall. Hundreds of small windows can be opened and spread across any portion of the wall. Alternately, a large window can be created allowing an application to occupy every pixel on the wall. Both models run the Windows Vista Business 64-bit operating system and feature advanced Intel CPUs. The Fusion Catalyst 4000 provides dual Quad Core Xeons running at 2.0 GHz, 8 GB of RAM, and two 320 GB hard drives in a RAID 1 array. (Additional RAM up to 64 GB and a third hard drive are available options for the Fusion Catalyst 4000.) The Fusion Catalyst 1000 ships with a Core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB of RAM, and a single 320 GB hard drive. An upgrade to the Windows 7 OS will be offered for both models when Windows 7 Service Pack 1 becomes available.
Options for More Power, More Flexibility
With the addition of the new Jupiter SVS-8 Streaming Video System, Fusion Catalyst can display up to 376 video streams in MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264 and MJPEG encoding standards. The SVS-8 can decode multiple encoding formats simultaneously, which means dozens of network-streamed videos can be displayed at once at full-frame rate with digital precision.
The addition of CatalystLink™ cards allows for integration with PixelNet™ systems. PixelNet is Jupiter’s revolutionary distributed display wall system. Designed for scalability and flexibility, PixelNet makes creating complex topologies of inputs and outputs simple, cost effective and future proof. With CatalystLink cards, PixelNet sources (notably the broadcast industry’s SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI standards) can be displayed on the Fusion Catalyst-based display wall, as well as on ancillary PixelNet displays.
