Quadriga Art Calls on U.S. Charities to Better Embrace New Technology to Survive Today’s Economic Challenges

NEW YORK--()--Quadriga Art, a leading provider of support and services that enable America’s nonprofits to achieve their various missions, says nonprofit entities must embrace new fundraising technologies or face further declines in donations. 2010 was a devastating year for many of the nation’s leading nonprofits - at a time when the need for assistance has perhaps never been greater in America.

“We live in an interesting time. Decades old, highly prominent nonprofits who have provided incredible support to their constituents over the years are finding themselves in need of an ‘upgrade’,” according to Mark Schulhof, CEO of Quadriga Art. “As in any organization, these operational improvements cost money. But, in light of a challenging economy, state and federal budget cuts that leave some groups exposed and today’s competitive environment, there is a perfect storm of factors which we believe may lead some of the nations’ largest non-profits to invest in the kinds of efficiencies that will allow them to perform their services more effectively in the years to come.”

Because budget cuts are greatly impacting services that aid the poor, chronically ill, veterans and animals, Schulhof says sustaining donor-based programs and services aimed at meeting the growing needs in 2011 is harder than most may think. There are over 1.4 million nonprofit organizations in the U.S. today, many of which don’t have a modern infrastructure for marketing, communicating and raising donor funds.

“These challenges are universal and will ultimately be born by all organizations who seek sustainability,” said Schulhof. “We can no longer assume that just because some of the best known charities are true pillars doing great work in communities, they will still be able to raise a large enough share of the shrinking philanthropic pie.”

Quadriga Art works with hundred of nonprofits to create a more advanced and versatile technology infrastructure supporting e-fundraising programs plus marketing and communications strategies to improve online donations.

“The successful nonprofits of the future must cast a wider net to meet the minimum donation requirements to support those they serve; like everyone else these days they must work harder to earn less. We are all relying on them to carry on with the passion and courage necessary to ensure those in need are cared for and protected.
