LINDEN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Integrated Media Management® (IMM), a document output management and automation technology provider, announced today that Wisconsin-based Landmark Credit Union has simultaneously implemented its Teller Item Capture, TotaleChecks™ and TotaleReceipts™ solutions throughout its 18 branches to drive increased efficiencies and reduce operational costs.
“We would consistently analyze the effectiveness and expedience of our transaction processes, and knew that eventually eliminating traditional paper documents and their associated costs was the obvious choice to maximize both; it was just a matter of when,” said Bob Bruemmer, EVP of Landmark Credit Union. The $1.6 billion credit union turned to IMM for implementing an integrated Check 21 teller item capture solution and to also complement that technology with software to automate teller receipt transactions and pre-printed check management. Landmark CU is an existing IMM customer using TotaleAtlas, the company’s flagship document preparation engine, so the credit union valued that knowledge and experience of working with IMM. Also important was IMM’s full integration with Landmark CU’s core processor, which is just one of more than 20 of the company’s core and LOS relationships.
Bruemmer added, “Though IMM’s products were not the least expensive available to us, we knew that the quality of its technology and the functionality it delivers would ultimately bring us a much greater return.”
IMM’s Teller Item Capture populates the core system’s checks deposited screen, eliminating manual data entry, reducing keystrokes and errors. The scanned checks are encrypted and appended to the receipt transaction and a 128-bit indexed PDF is created for storage. The system generates an electronic cash letter that Landmark CU can electronically send to its processing center. Teller Item Capture seamlessly interfaces on the front end with the core teller platform and on the back end with TotaleReceipts to generate an archivable PDF with the receipt, scanned checks, IDs and other scanned items. IMM’s TotaleReceipts automates the output of teller transaction receipts, thus removing preprinted receipts and their need to be manually scanned, indexed or retrieved. The platform provides a real-time teller log, viewable from any workstation, which eases end of day balancing. TotaleChecks, IMM’s software application that eliminates the storage and management of preprinted checks, enables Landmark CU’s online and batch checks to be laser printed on blank security paper.
Landmark CU opted for a phased implementation of IMM’s Teller Item Capture, TotaleReceipts and TotaleChecks. Flexible with the credit union’s preferences for a rollout, IMM tailored the entire install strategy to Landmark CU’s comfort level and availability, rolling out two of its 18 branches at a time. “Rather than directing us on how its team would go about implementation, IMM came to us asking how we would like to do things, trusting that we knew how to optimize initial adoption from employees and members,” Bruemmer explained.
“Landmark Credit Union’s initiative to remove paper-based processes has enabled the institution to improve member service and workflow while also reducing costs,” said Chuck Klein, CEO of Integrated Media Management. “We are pleased that Landmark CU has chosen IMM as its one-stop source for all areas of the credit union’s document output needs.”
