MUMBAI, India--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Smiths Medical, a leading global medical device manufacturer, today announced it is to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary in Mumbai, India, to help grow its business in this vitally important part of the world.

Ashwin Benegal is the General Manager of Smiths Medical’s Indian Operations. He joined Smiths Medical in 2008 and brings with him more than 15 years of medical device experience, having worked in several large multi-national corporations. Benegal holds a Masters degree in Marketing and Advertising, and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance.
