Skanska (STO:SKAB) has secured an assignment to construct two laboratory buildings at the City University of New York in Harlem, New York. The contract amounts to USD 92 M, approximately SEK 625 M, which is included in order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2010. The customer is the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York.
The assignment involves a 44,000-square-meter research building with laboratories, cafeteria and a 100-seat lecture hall, and also a 23,000-square-meter laboratory building for biology, chemistry and physics.
Skanska USA Building has commenced work on the project, which is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2014. At City University of New York, Skanska has also recently completed two buildings for teaching and research.
