SierraConstellation Partners Wins Multiple Turnaround Atlas Awards from The Global M&A Network

The firm was honored for their work with Vyera Pharmaceuticals and Custom Alloy Corporation

NEW YORK--()--SierraConstellation Partners (“SCP”), an interim management and advisory firm, has been recognized by The Global M&A Network for its work on the sale of assets of Vyera Pharmaceuticals to Tilde Sciences and the reorganization of Orpha Labs. SCP was awarded with the Subchapter V Restructuring of the Year Award for their work on the reorganization at the 16th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards Gala.

The recognition of Subchapter V Restructuring of the Year honors SCP’s work on the high-profile reorganization, which included preparing the company for sale following a period of executive turmoil, rapidly declining revenue, and increased industry competition from generic manufacturers. The SCP team, comprised of CEO and Founder Larry Perkins, Managing Director Jordan Meyers, Director Ahmed Shamsi and Senior Associate Colin Moran was able to successfully reorganize Orpha Labs and to sell all the assets of Vyera Pharmaceuticals to Tilde Sciences, which will continue to sell the prescription medication Daraprim for the treatment of toxoplasmosis.

It is an honor to be recognized by The Global M&A Network for our work with the reorganization and sale of Vyera Pharmaceuticals,” said Perkins. “Reorganizations in the pharmaceutical space are uniquely complex and require delicate skills as you balance recovering a business with continuing to provide essential treatments to those in need. I am thankful for the whole SCP team for their tireless efforts on achieving this sale and delivering a favorable outcome to both Tilde and the individuals who rely on Daraprim every day.”

Vyera Pharmaceuticals is another example of SCP’s growing expertise in the healthcare space, which is facing increasing challenges due to rising costs, greater demand, and unique operational challenges. Earlier this year, SCP was recognized for the firm’s work with Tricida, a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of a drug for the treatment of chronic kidney disease.

In addition to the Subchapter V Restructuring of the Year award, SCP was awarded The Industrials & Services Restructuring of the Year award for its work at Custom Alloy Corporation (CAC). The SCP team, comprised of Perkins, Partner Curt Kroll, and SCP associates, was brought on by the lender as a financial advisor to CAC after the company filed for Chapter 11 relief to address excessive leverage that was exacerbated by its stock repurchase and following a period of supply chain delays, stretched payments from customers, and plant consolidation efforts.

SCP performed an operational and financial assessment and determined, along with management and the lender, that a dual path sale process (363 sale and POR) would return the most valuable outcome. SCP partnered with SSG Capital Advisors (SSG) to drive this process, which resulted in the sale of substantially all of the assets of CAC to an affiliate of Trident Maritime Systems.
