CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to announce the election of Pingshan Li to its partnership effective July 1, 2014. Mr. Li is the chair of the firm’s China Practice and is based out of the firm’s Cleveland office.
Recently selected among “Who to Watch in Law” by Crain’s Cleveland Business, Mr. Li’s practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance, corporate governance, public company compliance, and international business transactions. He also represents clients in technology transactions and intellectual property rights protections. Mr. Li has substantial corporate and legal experience in China.
A native speaker of Mandarin Chinese, Mr. Li was born and raised in the Liaoning province of China. He serves on the Advisory Board of Invest Guangzhou International, where he assists with the economic development of the City of Guangzhou – one of the largest cities in China.
Mr. Li received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he was the president of the Case Western Reserve University School of Law Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. He has a B.S. and LL.M. from Dalian Maritime University and an LL.M. from University College London.
