MIAMI & DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer’s) – the world’s preeminent distributor of beverage alcohol – today announced the retirement of Tim Anderson, Senior Vice President, General Manager, Kansas & Iowa, effective January 31, 2025.
“Tim has been a results-oriented leader that has made a positive impact across the Kansas and Iowa markets,” said Matt Metz, President, Central Region, Southern Glazer’s. “His passion to deliver results for his suppliers and customers has been his signature trademark. We wish him success in his next chapter of life.”
Anderson began his career in the beverage alcohol industry with Romano Brothers in 1987 before working in various sales and management positions at both E&J Gallo Winery and Johnson Brothers between 1991 and 2007. Since joining the Southern Glazer’s team in 2007, Anderson has spent 18 years in various executive management positions of increasing responsibility, ultimately serving as Senior Vice President, General Manager, Kansas & Iowa.
“Tim’s legacy will be one of compassion for his people, commitment to our customers, and most importantly, being a true friend to many,” said Randy Myers, Executive Vice President, General Manager, North Central Sub Region, Southern Glazer’s.
Succeeding Anderson as Senior Vice President, General Manager, Iowa, Kansas, & Nebraska will be Jim Mullen, effective January 1, 2025. The role will be restructured to combine Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa into one region led by Mullen, who will be reporting to Myers. Until Anderson’s retirement, he and Mullen will both work closely to ensure a seamless transition of responsibilities.
Mullen began his career in distribution at Union Pacific Corporation in 2010 before joining Sterling Distributing Company and serving as General Manager from 2011 to 2016. He then joined Southern Glazer’s in his current role as Senior Vice President, General Manager, Nebraska.
“Jim is a talented leader who has built a strong team around him that delivers excellent supplier results and customer service,” said Metz. “Under his leadership, Nebraska has experienced significant growth. I’m looking forward to seeing all that he accomplishes in the Iowa and Kansas markets.”
