IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Odalys Arevalo and Mercedes Cabrera, co-founders of Sunshine Life & Health Advisors, were honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce at the 21st Annual Women Empowering & Embracing Women Awards. Known as Las Madrinas de Los Seguros (The Godmothers of Insurance), Arevalo and Cabrera were celebrated for their exceptional contributions and unwavering dedication to the Hispanic community. Sunshine was acquired by Alliant Insurance Services in 2023 and is part of Alliant Consumer Group, which houses the company’s growing portfolio of consumer-facing operations.

Arevalo and Cabrera founded Sunshine in 2013 with a focus on helping members of the Hispanic community understand and enroll in Affordable Care Act (ACA) health plans. Together, they built Sunshine into one of the nation’s largest Field Marketing Organizations (FMOs) serving more than a quarter of a million members in Florida, Texas, and throughout the United States.
