‘Bones Love Milk’ Gravity Tour to Bring Free Family Friendly Skateboarding Competition to Sacramento Area

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--()--The “Bones Love Milk” skate team, sponsored by the California Milk Processor Board (creators of got milk?), is hosting a free skateboarding competition event at Mather Skatepark in the Sacramento area as part of its popular Gravity Tour.

The event will be open to the public on Saturday, November 9th from 11am to 5pm and will feature skater “best trick” contests at all levels, open skate sessions, pro skater demos and family fun – all taking place at Mather Skatepark in Sacramento County.

Gravity Tour is a celebration of skate culture in which athletes will show off their best tricks as they shred Mather Skatepark and inspire the audience with their signature styles. The skate demo will feature pro skaters such as northern California local Katelyn West, Christian Hosoi, Christopher Hiett, Zach Doelling, Leandre Sanders, and Chris Pierre-Jacques. Cash prizes and gear from PLA Skateboarding will be granted to the winners.

For the event, Bones Love Milk is partnering with SkateMD, a non-profit organization in the Sacramento area that aims to heal hearts by spreading kindness and skateboarding to children with physical and developmental disabilities. SkateMD also serves and encourages youth that may not have access or means to skateboarding equipment or facilities, and those who need some extra kindness in their lives.

In addition to the skateboarding events, there will be free locally-sourced milk and ice cream served by Crystal Creamery, and cookies provided by Firehouse Cookie Co. To make even more fun, there will be pop up activations, such as an Arts and Crafts zone sponsored by local art store, Strubdrry, and a Self Care Zone with a barber and massage therapist providing free sessions to attendees and athletes. SkateMD will be doing a demonstration of the skills they teach at their clinics. Local food vendors will also be on hand.

WHERE: Mather Skatepark at 3755 Schriever Ave, Mather, CA 95655
