HONG KONG & LOS ANGELES--()--Global travelers are invited to experience the vibrant nighttime celebrations taking place in Hong Kong this fall. In addition to the Fire Dragon Dance, Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations also include young dragon dancers carrying a dragon decorated with 10,000 LED bulbs, showcasing the passing on of this traditional heritage. Hong Kong boasts an impressive line-up of events for everyone to enjoy this season.

The iconic Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance, which has been designated as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage this year takes place on 16–18 September. Over 300 performers will work together to carry and maneuver a massive 67-meter-long fire-lit dragon through the grid-like streets of the Tai Hang neighborhood. The dragon, made of pearl straws and covered in around 12,000 incense sticks, requires seamless teamwork to keep it dancing.

The three-day annual Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance will stage its finale tomorrow night (18 September). Seize the last chance of the year to go along and enjoy this evening’s dazzling traditional celebration.

The Mid-Autumn Festival-themed drone show organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) this evening was a success as a fleet of one thousand drones created a succession of spellbinding festive scenes in the sky above the Victoria Harbour. The event drew a large crowd of locals and visitors to the harbor front where they celebrated the traditional festive culture in a novel style and were treated to a vibrant atmosphere.
