WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Starting with today’s launch of AdStorm (myadstorm.com), for the first time, donors and activists have control over which political TV ads run in which places and at what times. On AdStorm, anyone can pick an ad of their choice, select the location and time for it to air, and then pay directly for that airtime.
AdStorm breaks the lock on TV advertising that, until now, had closed TV advertising to only candidates, powerbrokers, big donors and consultants.

On MyAdStorm.com, anyone can create an account, search for and select the political advertisement of their choice and on the issue of their choosing, then specify the market, the TV station, and time slot where that ad will air. Prices are listed for each ad placement, allowing users to cover the cost of the ad placements.
At launch, AdStorm features multiple placement options in the battleground states of Georgia and Pennsylvania with Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, and Arizona available soon. AdStorm will also open opportunities for donors and activists to buy ads in key U.S. House and Senate races, in places like Ohio, Texas, and Colorado. As an example, this ad from Future Progress PAC is available now to place in Georgia and other states via AdStorm.
Ads cost anywhere from $30 for off-peak times in smaller markets in key states, to tens of thousands of dollars for big sports games or popular primetime shows. For ads priced $1,000 or more, AdStorm has crowd-funding to pool smaller contributions into big-ticket ads for the biggest, most important markets.
Joining the launch with ads for Vice President Kamala Harris, opposing former President Donald Trump, and on key issues such as abortion rights are Progress Action Fund PAC and Future Progress PAC. More committees and ads will be added on an ongoing basis.
