Rochester Institute of Technology Partners with PathoSans for Safe and Sustainable Cleaning Solutions

GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Ill.--()--PathoSans, a leading provider of sustainable and socially-responsible cleaning and disinfecting solutions, partnered with Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) to provide a more efficient, sustainable and safer cleaning program. RIT, one of the world’s leading technological universities, uses PathoSans’ sustainable and socially responsible cleaning solutions to clean its academic buildings, athletic facilities and residence halls.

“Safety is at the forefront of our thought process,” said Derek Sylvester, Director of Facilities Services for RIT. “PathoSans cleaning chemicals are not caustic like some of the others on the market. It’s mild when it comes to skin contact.”

PathoSans, a provider of electrochemically activated solutions (ECAS), produces a cleaner and disinfectant with just salt, water and electricity. The products contain no added fragrances and are safe for use on campus. The disinfectant eliminates pathogens and can kill 99.9% of bacteria and viruses in seconds while also being non-irritating to the skin.

RIT is known for being a vibrant, connected community, home to diverse and creative students from over 100 countries. As students have returned for a new school year, health and safety is a top concern for RIT. The university continues to make good on its promises of providing a healthy and safe learning environment.

“RIT is committed to environmental stewardship and social responsibility,” said Brian Rominski, Strategic Account Manager, PathoSans. “RIT’s core values are aligned with PathoSans’ values, and we’re excited to help RIT maintain a safe and healthy campus.”
