Effective immediately, Dr. Hakman and Dr. Wertheimer, both highly sought-after Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialists, have joined the center’s West Los Angeles office.
Dr. Hakman has a longstanding family and personal history of infertility and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Her experience as both a doctor and a patient who has successfully undergone IVF aligns effortlessly with HRC’s mission to provide extraordinary patient care.
Dr. Hakman is a subject matter expert for the American Board of OB-GYN, and serves as HRC Fertility’s baby center medical advisor. She is responsible for reviewing all published consumer-facing content about pregnancy and fertility. Dr. Hakman has received numerous research awards across prominent conferences around the U.S.
As an outspoken advocate for women, Dr. Wertheimer is highly engaged with the Jewish Orthodox Women in Medicine Association, where she serves as president. She is passionate about increasing access to education in the community and the overall awareness of women’s health, fertility and self-advocacy.
Her 360-degree holistic approach encompasses several phases, including preconception wellness, fertility and conception support, pregnancy, and postpartum care – sometimes even incorporating Eastern medicine, where possible and beneficial.
Dr. Wertheimer is the proud recipient of numerous awards, such as the Jewish Orthodox Women in Medicine Association’s Excellence in Leadership and The Davidoff Teaching Award (while in residency).
