Updater Appoints Bangaly Kaba and Lee Kirkpatrick to Board of Directors

Accomplished technology veterans with outstanding track records of success at Instagram and Twilio appointed to help accelerate Updater’s next phase of growth

NEW YORK--()--Updater Inc., the leading technology company powering the relocation industry, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Bangaly Kaba and Lee Kirkpatrick to its Board of Directors. Lee will also serve as the Chair of Updater’s Audit Committee. Bangaly and Lee bring years of successful leadership experience at best-in-category, high-growth technology companies including Instagram, Instacart, Twilio, Facebook, PopshopLive, and Twitter.

Bangaly currently serves as the Head of Platform Growth at Popshop Live. He has over a decade of experience as a technology executive with previous roles including VP of Product at Instacart, Head of Growth at Instagram, and Senior Product Manager at Facebook. He also serves on the Board of Directors at Spark Networks, a publicly-traded portfolio of premium and freemium dating apps. Bangaly holds an MBA from the University of Southern California, an MA from American University, and a BS from Washington University in St. Louis.

Lee served for over six years as the Chief Financial Officer at Twilio, leading the company’s revenue growth from $15M Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) to $800M ARR. He also led the company through its successful IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. Prior to Twilio, Lee was the CFO for Say Media, Ofoto (acquired by Kodak and later renamed the Kodak Imaging Network), and iOwn (formerly Homeshark). Lee also serves on the board of three other companies and advises several high-growth technology companies. Lee holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Updater also announces that two long-standing Directors, Antony Catalano and Jessica Nagle, have stepped down from their positions on Updater’s Board. “On behalf of Updater’s shareholders, our executive team, and our more than 250 teammates, I extend enormous gratitude to Antony Catalano and Jessica Nagle for their insights, leadership, and invaluable service for the last 6 years and 4 years, respectively,” Greenberg added.
