AMC, Nordstrom Rack, Ulta Beauty Added to The Vineyards at Porter Ranch

Best-in-class retailers join Whole Foods Market in pedestrian-friendly entertainment experience;
mixed-use center set to open in Spring 2019 in upscale Los Angeles foothill community

PORTER RANCH, Calif.--()--Shapell Liberty Investment Properties today announced AMC theaters, Nordstrom Rack and Ulta Beauty as major anchor tenants for The Vineyards shopping and entertainment center, joining previously announced Whole Foods Market at the upscale next-generation commercial complex under construction in the foothills of Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley.

The Vineyards, scheduled to open in Spring 2019, is a mixed-use center featuring a pedestrian-friendly design to provide residents in this upscale enclave a relaxed and safe gathering location for shopping, entertainment, professional services and community activities.

With these well-known brand tenants in place, we now look forward to delivering the next group of shops, restaurants and other retail stores that consumers are demanding,” said John Love, Vice President for Shapell Properties, Inc. “The excitement of The Vineyards continues to build. We’re beginning to realize a vision for bringing together an exceptional mix of shopping, food and beverage experiences, entertainment, residential living, and professional and medical offices.”

The much-anticipated addition to the Porter Ranch master-planned community features 335,000 square feet of commercial space focused around an open-air lifestyle/entertainment retail center that will set a new standard as a gathering place for the surrounding community. The project also includes a Kaiser-Permanente medical office building scheduled to open in early 2019, an approximate 110-room hotel and a 266-unit luxury apartment complex slated for completion in 2020.

The Vineyards is designed as the premier choice for unique and high-end shops and restaurants, and for luxury apartment living serving this entire region, Love said. The location of the project benefits from approximately 1,500 linear feet of frontage along the 118 freeway and is accessed directly via the Porter Ranch Drive interchange. Design elements include a “main street” and central green area that will host community events, a 4,000-square-foot community meeting room, and a variety of sustainable features such as solar panels and a rainwater capture and re-use system.
