Kapsch Selected to Deliver and Maintain a New Customer Service System (CSS) for the Georgia State Road and Tollway Authority

Customer Service System will process electronic toll and parking transactions and provide an interoperability platform for future multi-modal service invoicing.

MCLEAN, Va.--()--Kapsch TrafficCom (Kapsch) is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the Georgia State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) to serve as its Customer Service System Integrator (CSSI). With this contract, Kapsch will provide SRTA with a next-generation back office platform that will enable the agency to offer and support integrated user accounts to its customers for transportation services including highway tolling and parking.

The Kapsch back office system is ideally suited to meet Georgia’s rapidly expanding transportation landscape. The CSS is a scalable and modular platform, making it configurable to customer needs and to SRTA project requirements. As SRTA deploys more tolling and managed lane systems in the future to serve the metropolitan Atlanta population, an integrated, flexible, and customizable back office will enable it to offer its customers a seamless experience by processing transactions for all SRTA toll facilities – along with the capability to support interoperable partner facilities – within single user accounts.

“In order to provide an improved customer service experience for our current and future customers, SRTA is excited to partner with Kapsch to bring new functionality and greater ease of use to our customers,” said Chris Tomlinson, Executive Director of SRTA. “The Kapsch CSS will make it easier for customers to manage their accounts and broaden the ways and places where customers can use their Peach Pass account.”

“Kapsch welcomes the opportunity to partner with SRTA as it works to meet its mobility needs now and for the years ahead,” said Chris Murray, president of Kapsch TrafficCom North America. “SRTA is leading the way to create an integrated multi-modal back office and customer service platform that provides smooth operational transaction processing and will facilitate new transportation projects in the future.”

Kapsch will deliver the project from its local office in Duluth, GA, just north of downtown Atlanta. Notice to proceed was received on January 10, 2018 and the contract lasts through June 2025, with five subsequent one-year renewal options exercisable at the sole discretion of SRTA.
