Firm Strengthens Commitment to Economic Development with Addition of Former GOED Director Steve Watson

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.--()--Through a combined commitment to economic development and desire to further build upon industry partnerships within the State of South Dakota and beyond, ISG, an employee-owned, multi-disciplinary firm, announced the addition of Steve Watson, Development Strategist, in the firm’s newly opened Sioux Falls office. Joining the firm’s 270+ employee-owners that span four states and support clients nationwide, Steve, the former Director of Business Development for the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) brings over 15 years of passion for identifying and bridging opportunities for communities, employers, and Fortune 500 companies.

“ISG’s breadth of expertise and proven track record of providing innovative architecture and engineering solutions to clients throughout the region are but a few of the many reasons I was drawn to their team of professionals,” exclaims Steve. “While my business card may be different, the goal is still the same – to passionately help develop South Dakota and the region’s future. In my new capacity as Development Strategist, I hope to build on existing, and create new, relationships with the many fine communities and organizations committed to growth and economic advancement in our region,” notes Steve.

Steve has played an integral role in recent State development opportunities including two ISG partner projects; Agropur in Lake Norden, which will triple cheese production and capacity, along with Terex Utilities in Watertown.

“Since our first interaction in South Dakota, we have truly been blown away with the State’s investment in the economy, talent, and industries that support the entire U.S.,” notes Chad Surprenant, ISG President | CEO. “We truly believe that with Steve’s knowledge and ISG's unique position to observe and develop market solutions, we can assist GOED in achieving even greater successes. We have tremendous respect for the State of South Dakota, Governor, and the GOED office, and look forward to our continued partnership,” states Chad.
