Harris Companies Acquires Diamond B Constructors

ST. PAUL, Minn.--()--Harris Companies (Harris) announced that it has acquired Diamond B Constructors, Inc. (DBC), a Bellingham, Washington based mechanical contractor that has been serving the Pacific Northwest for more than 104 years.

The acquisition fits into Harris’ strategy of continued growth and expansion while adding to its industrial portfolio. By acquiring the company, Harris will continue its geographic expansion and create additional opportunities in the Pacific Northwest by combining DBC’s and Harris’ expertise.

“Everyone at DBC is excited about the acquisition,” said Pete Chapman, Senior Vice President of DBC. “Our values and goals are identical, and with Harris’ support and guidance, we will move forward as a team, expanding both our commercial and industrial divisions.”

DBC’s diverse portfolio includes medical facilities, schools, government and industrial projects. Most recently, DBC has been selected as the mechanical contractor for notable projects such as the total replacement of Sehome High School in Bellingham, WA and the TAN & HTS Metallurgy Upgrade at BP Cherry Point Refinery in Blaine, WA.

“We are confident that Harris and Diamond B Constructors will be a good business and culture match and will bring long-term value to the company,” said Michel Michno, Chief Operations Officer of Harris. “Diamond B’s staff has a history of performance and building long term relationships.”
