NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Perfect Corp. has partnered with the crystal maison, Swarovski, to create a dazzling augmented reality holiday experience with the YouCam Fun and YouCam Makeup apps. The innovative filters include jewelry and accessories embellished with Swarovski crystals and holiday-inspired makeup styles translated into AR fun filters, allowing fans to virtually experience looks with Swarovski crystals instantly from their mobile phones.
This first-ever digital experience combines the best of fashion, jewelry, beauty, and technology to create an immersive interactive virtual holiday celebration unlike any other. The collection of filters will be available exclusively at the #CrystalsfromSwarovski Holiday Pop Up in New York from December 4th through 10th, 2017, after which the styles will be released across the globe via the free YouCam Makeup and YouCam Fun apps beginning December 11th, 2017.
“We are thrilled to partner with the iconic Swarovski brand to bring their stunning crystal creations to life in a whole new way through YouCam’s advanced augmented reality technologies,” says Alice Chang, CEO of Perfect Corp. “It is amazing to see the Swarovski crystal jewelry styles translated through virtual in app try-ons to be experienced by fashion and beauty lovers around the globe.”
The in-app integration will feature three curated looks (Dragon Queen, Woodland Goddess, and Eclipse) adorned with sparkling Swarovski crystals. The Dragon Queen filter features bespoke Amethyst Swarovski crystal “eyes” and statement jewelry by Heidi Daus, all with crystals from Swarovski. The Woodland Goddess filter takes a more whimsical slant with tiered Sorrelli necklaces and earrings paired with a Heidi Daus crown and Couturier Serkan Cura’s wings designed for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show adorning the user’s back. The third filter, Eclipse, features designer Caroline Néron’s layered necklaces and earrings with Swarovski crystals in Jet and Crystal colors and custom crystallized eyes.
“We are excited to recreate the sparkle of Swarovski crystals through virtual reality with YouCam’s AR technology at our Holiday Pop Up Shop. Through the YouCam app, consumers will have the opportunity to engage with jewelry and accessories embellished with crystals from Swarovski in an interactive way,” says Alexander Wellhoefer, Global SVP of Swarovski Professional North America.
