TRAVERSE CITY, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--C.H. Robinson, a global third party logistics (3PL) company, and its Traverse City office contributed to a month-long, company-wide, employee-led giving campaign which raised a total of $791,000 for a variety of local and national charities. In addition to the Robinson Cares campaign fundraising, employees accumulated more than 1,450 volunteer hours, helping their neighbors in need.
The Traverse City office far exceeded their donation goal, raising $20,000 for Michael’s Place and the Women’s Resource Center.
Employees hosted their largest fundraiser at a local craft brewery and pizzeria. Twenty percent of the night’s sales were donated to Michael’s Place, which serves grieving children, teens, adults and families throughout northern Michigan. “We couldn’t be more thrilled about our success this year,” said Andrew Warren, account manager at C.H. Robinson. “Michael’s Place is an amazing organization that does unbelievable work for Traverse City and the surrounding area. We are already thinking to next year and how we can make an even bigger impact.”
Since 2005, C.H. Robinson, along with its Foundation, has given over $23 million back to our communities.
“Our employees are the best in the industry — not just in their supply chain expertise, but their dedication to making an impact in their communities on the issues that matter to them most,” said Angie Freeman, chief human resources officer at C.H. Robinson. “Because of them, we were able to support more than 250 nonprofits working locally and globally.”
