WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Quad Learning has announced a new partnership that will expand access to American Higher Education for international students and increase global diversity on American campuses. Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas will partner with Quad Learning to offer the American Success Program. Quad Learning will recruit international students to Kilgore College, and they will receive support to have a successful college experience, complete their associate degree, and transfer to a 4-year University.
In addition to Kilgore College, Quad Learning partners with the Community Colleges of Spokane and the Community College of Philadelphia to offer the American Success Program. The American Success Program serves international students on a path to earn their bachelors degree from an American institution after completing two years at community college. As part of the American Success Program, students can receive additional academic and/or English support, earn their associate degree, and transfer to a US university for their junior and senior years on their path towards their bachelors degree. Quad Learning works with its partner institutions to provide additional support to ease the cultural and academic transition and ensure student success.
“We are thrilled to partner with Kilgore College to bring even more high-quality international students to American campuses,” said Phil Bronner, CEO of Quad Learning. “Increasingly, international students recognize the academic and financial benefits of attending a two-year college before completing their bachelors degree at a four-year college or university. We look forward to working with Kilgore College to serve even more students.”
Students will receive pre-arrival support, international student orientations, 1:1 intensive advising, leadership and career development programming, community building, and other services that ensure a positive and successful academic and social experience. Additionally, students will receive individualized guidance to help identify, apply to, and transfer to high-quality four-year institutions.
“International students bring cultural and intellectual diversity to our campus, benefitting all students, faculty and staff,” said Rebecca Johnson, Dean of Arts and Mathematical Sciences at Kilgore College. “And Quad Learning has the track record and expertise to recruit and help support high-quality, motivated international students.”
“In our globally connected world, the best institutions will give students opportunities to learn alongside others from diverse backgrounds and world perspectives,” said Dr. Donald Generals, President of Community College of Philadelphia. “Quad Learning is an important partner in helping the Community College of Philadelphia fulfill that mandate and help our students – both U.S. and foreign enrollees – broaden their educational horizons.”
The U.S. is the number-one destination for international education, and international students are increasingly finding the 2 + 2 model—two years at community college followed by two years at a four-year institution—to be a cost-effective and highly supportive path to attaining their bachelors degree. Quad Learning and its partners ensure that international students are successfully integrated academically and socially to the benefit of both domestic and international students in a highly globalized society.
