DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) received an engineering, procurement, construction management and validation (EPCmV) services contract for the new Ferring Pharmaceuticals research and development (R&D) headquarters, which will be located in Copenhagen, Denmark. Jacobs was selected for this project phase following the successful completion of the conceptual study and basic engineering design.
As Ferring Pharmaceuticals’ principal biopharmaceutical product development center, this new facility will feature collaborative work spaces and serve as an inspirational, global Research & Development unit for identifying and developing innovative products in the fields of reproductive health, urology, gastroenterology, endocrinology and orthopedics.
When constructed, the facility will include six stories above grade, two basement levels, and a site area of approximately 124,000 square feet (11,500 square meters). Jacobs is working alongside Foster + Partners, an architecture consultancy firm, to develop the iconic vision for the new R&D center.
