Liberty Health Sciences Inc. Announces Operational Updates to Increase Patient Accessibility in Florida

Two dispensaries set to open in December 2017; Delivery service expanded to include South Florida

TORONTO--()--Liberty Health Sciences Inc. (CSE:LHS) (OTCBB:SCQBF) (“Liberty” or the “Company”) announced today that it has secured locations for two medical cannabis dispensaries that are scheduled to open in December 2017. The dispensaries will be strategically located in The Villages and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with more locations planned in the near future. The dispensary operations and plans are being finalized and will be submitted to the Florida Department of Health, Office of Medical Marijuana Use for approval in accordance with state law.

Liberty is dedicated to providing patients with reasonably priced and accessible medical cannabis. Therefore, effective immediately, Liberty has expanded its delivery offering to service South Florida, ensuring patients in the region have convenient access to its high-quality, clean and safe pharmaceutical grade medical cannabis. Liberty has also implemented universal compassionate pricing to ensure that all patients, regardless of income level, can benefit from its medical cannabis products.

“The opening of Liberty dispensaries and the expansion of our delivery system to South Florida represent an important step in our Florida growth strategy as we look to provide patients with more options to access our pharmaceutical grade products,” said George Scorsis, Director and CEO of Liberty. “Our goal is to ensure that the dispensaries are patient-centric, providing not only access to high-quality medical cannabis, but also comprehensive education and resources to inform patients on cannabis use as a safe alternative to treat symptoms related to several medical ailments. Aphria products will be available for purchase at our dispensary locations.”

According to state reports, Florida continues to see a surge in the number of patients being treated with medical cannabis. From June to August 2017, the number of Florida patients has doubled, from under 17,000 to over 33,0001. Liberty expects this number to grow exponentially as more physicians recommend cannabis as a treatment option and more conditions qualify for the treatment.

“Our dispensary locations are strategic by design,” continued Scorsis. “We follow a strict geographic targeting methodology focusing on locations with a substantial population and a significant number of prescribing physicians.

About the new dispensary locations:

The Villages

With a population of 150,000 people and a median resident age of 60, the Villages is one of the largest planned retirement/senior living communities in the United States. The medical demographics provide a large patient pool to whom Liberty may provide its high-quality medical cannabis products.

Fort Lauderdale

Liberty’s Fort Lauderdale location is ideal for the nearly 2-million residents of east Broward County. Its proximity to Holy Cross Hospital and its surrounding medical office district, provides significant daily patient and physician exposure.

Liberty plans to open six additional dispensaries in Florida by Q1 of 2018.
