DURHAM, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bivarus, a patient-centered analytics company, has formed a partnership with the Community Oncology Alliance (COA) to help its member practices across the country improve patient experiences. COA members can now utilize Bivarus’ survey platform to satisfy the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) requirements for reimbursement from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
COA is the only nonprofit organization dedicated solely to community oncology, where the majority of Americans with cancer are treated. Its mission is to ensure cancer patients receive quality, affordable and accessible cancer care in their own communities. The partnership with Bivarus gives member practices the ability to gather more meaningful, actionable data to improve patient care and quality of service.
“Measuring patient experience is extremely important in cancer care, as it not only ensures patients are pleased with the care they’re receiving, but it also helps practices identify areas where they can grow and improve,” said Bruce Gould, MD, immediate past-president of COA and a practicing oncologist with the Northwest Georgia Oncology. “We’re thrilled to partner with Bivarus and offer this survey platform to members. This partnership will be particularly valuable to practices participating in the Oncology Medical Home who can use the existing patient survey to satisfy reporting requirements.”
“We’re proud to offer community oncology practices a more effective approach to capturing targeted and meaningful feedback from their patients in real-time,” said David Levin, CEO of Bivarus. “Our platform will help COA member practices illuminate relevant insights to help them improve patient experience.” Bivarus is well-known for its experience with existing cancer care clients, including Texas Oncology, Tennessee Oncology, and Cancer Center of Iowa.
Additionally, COA members can utilize Bivarus’ Quality Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) to satisfy MIPS reporting. To learn more about how MIPS applies to practices, and what needs to be done to meet CMS requirements, watch Meeting MIPS Requirements Using QCDR: What You Need to Know.
