Digital Lumens Introduces New Wireless Sensor to Integrated Third-Party High Bay and Vapor Tight LED Lighting Fixtures

New Sensor Allows Direct Connection to Most Popular Physical and Electrical Interface

BOSTON--()--Digital Lumens, the market leader in intelligent LED lighting and sensor-based smart building applications, today unveiled the DLA-V, a new Digital Light Agent™ (DLA) lighting control designed for a direct connection to 0-10V dimming drivers, and plug-compatible with all standard industrial sensor interfaces. The DLA-V transforms any high-bay or linear LED fixture from any manufacturer into a completely networked-controlled smart lighting node.

All DLAs create immediate compatibility with SiteWorx™, Digital Lumens’ groundbreaking, cloud-based business intelligence platform. As a result, customers everywhere can now more easily create a customized, sensor-rich smart building that leverages SiteWorx and the power of the IoT to maximize control, safety, operational performance, and business insight.

The DLA-V was designed based on significant input from our 500 million square foot, global customer base,” said Tom Pincince, CEO of Digital Lumens. “Enterprise customers are scaling from tens of facilities to hundreds of facilities and have asked us to equip all LED fixtures and facilities with our SiteWorx lighting control and building intelligence solutions, regardless of manufacturer. The expansion of our DLA line accomplishes that.”

Building on the company’s industry-leading install base of intelligent LEDs, the expanded DLA line further extends the unique overhead perspective and capabilities of Digital Lumens’ smart building solutions to additional, third-party LED installations and new environments, including offices, front-of-the-house retail, and schools. All DLAs include integrated sensing, wireless networking, and software-based control to deliver energy savings of up to 90%, performance validation through energy-grade utility metering, and optimal illumination levels for task performance and safety. Simple to install, implement, and expand across an array of facilities and environments, the DLA family is now:

  • DLA-V: for direct connection to 0-10V dimming drivers
  • DLA-I: for seamless fixture integration with no external enclosures or connectors
  • DLA-R: blends invisibly into recessed-mount or drop ceilings
  • DLA-S: for surface-mount to ceiling or junction box
  • DLA-E: for embedding within troffers

The unique, versatile design of the DLA-V makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, including spaces that, until now, have made it challenging to implement smart building and IoT solutions, such as food processing facilities and parking garages,” said Colin Piepgras, Digital Lumens co-founder and VP of Engineering. “Through Digital Lumens’ full line of DLA controls, the opportunity for any customer to create new value from every LED fixture in their facility is easier than it has ever been.”
