CAMDEN, N.J.--()--Campbell Soup Company (NYSE: CPB) today launched an updated Campbell’s Kitchen® skill for the Amazon Echo Show, Amazon’s new hands-free smart device that brings you everything you love about Alexa with a visual component. The updated Campbell’s Kitchen skill leverages the Echo Show’s touchscreen to enhance the user experience in the connected kitchen by allowing users to see and hear step-by-step instructions while making their favorite Campbell’s® recipes, including Green Bean Casserole and One Dish Chicken and Rice. Available to anyone who has the Amazon Echo Show, the new skill gives users the ability to ask and get an answer to the daily question of what’s for dinner.

“We anticipate that visual and voice technology will change the way our brands connect with our consumers,” said Greg Shewchuk, Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer for Campbell Soup Company. “The Campbell’s Kitchen skill brings new utility to the connected kitchen by encouraging users to engage, discover and cook meal solutions that work for their busy schedules.”

Recently, Campbell formed a dedicated team to accelerate its partnership with Amazon to fast-track digital and e-Commerce capabilities.

Campbell, which has provided recipes to consumers for more than 100 years, is now able to guide users step-by-step through the cooking experience using audio and visual cues. By simply downloading the skill and saying “Alexa, open Campbell’s Kitchen” users will be able to:

  • Hear, see and follow along with the touchscreen enabled recipe content, including ingredients and cooking steps
  • Seamlessly navigate lists of recipes, ingredients and directions for more than 3,000 Campbell's Kitchen recipes
  • Hear contextually relevant recipe content for seasons or holidays
  • Search by recipe category (including main ingredients, cuisine type, prep-method and effort)
  • Send the recipe to themselves via email

Campbell was one of the first food companies to implement Alexa voice technology in 2015. Since the launch, the Campbell’s Kitchen skill has connected with consumers, receiving over 50,000 unique sign-ups and suggesting more than 174,000 recipes to its users.
