SANTA CLARA, Calif.--()--DataStax, the leading provider of data management for cloud applications, today announced the opening of a new office in Tokyo, Japan. Companies throughout Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) are undergoing rapid change in response to digital transformation, rising customer expectations, and the lightning fast pace of business that define the right-now economy.

In that world where data reigns supreme, DataStax provides the critical data management layer that powers every critical aspect of business. DataStax already has a strategic customer base in Japan, including Komatsu and Yahoo! Japan, and is opening its new office to serve more customers, provide greater support for local partners, and expand its operations in this large, sophisticated market.

“Japanese businesses know that their most important asset is their data and they are coming to us to help manage it in an increasingly complex, cloud-driven technology landscape,” said Billy Bosworth, CEO of DataStax. “Japanese companies face intense competition to deliver outstanding customer experiences, operate smarter and more efficiently, and innovate in everything from back-end operations such as supply chain management through customer-facing applications and delivery.
